The Earth Institute is holding a seminar entitled “Urban Design, Sustainable Development and Environmental Justice in NYC” this Thursday 3/9 from 4 to 6 PM in the Satow Room in Lerner Hall. Speakers are:

• Prof. Richard Plunz of the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation
• Prof. Patricia Culligan of the Department of Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics, SEAS

For those of you who don’t know, Prof. Culligan teaches the “Engineering for Developing Communities” course that does a great deal of the design work for the Engineers Without Borders projects in Ghana and is by all accounts a generally outstanding person.
