More yummy events for y’alls:

Lecture: Sucesses and Challenges in International Development – Lessons from Togo
The Institute for African Studies is hosting a lecture by Arnold Ahiaesi, Global Fund Coordinator for Togo, this Thursday 1/26 from 12:15 to 1:45 PM in IAB 1134. It looks to be an instructive look at some big-picture development issues.

University Environmental Assesment Task Force Student Interest Meeting
Apparently the university has created a task force to complete an environmental assessment of our facilities. I’m not sure what exactly that’s going to entail, but it sounds like good news to me. The odd thing is that the people on the task force apparently looked for students to get involved, but could not find any interested students (as Anjana said, “What?!?!?!”). Clearly this is more a communication problem than anything else: if you’re interested, hit up the meeting in the Lerner Second Floor Piano Lounge this Sunday 1/29 at 8:30 PM. Email Anjana Sharma (of CU Students for Economic and Environmental Justice) if you plan to attend.
