Posted in cu groups and events at 11:08 pm by cuenv-main

From CUPID to the eyes and ears of the community, that’s my motto, or it could be if I start having a motto. Anyway, more excitement from our grad school homies. First off, the second annual CUPID conference:

The Columbia University Partnership for International Development (CUPID) announces its 2nd annual conference, Urbanization in the Developing World: Perspectives on the Individual, featuring multidisciplinary panels on the impact of urbanization on women, children, and infrastructure; and academic and professional speakers from Social Work, Urban Planning, Public Health, Law, Education, Economics, and International Affairs.

The conference is from 12:30 to 6:30 PM on Friday 4/7 in Jerome Green Hall, with a cocktail reception to follow. Register online or email for more information.

They’re also planning a forum on climate change in collaboration with SIPA and the Earth Institute, Tuesday 4/18 from 7 to 9 PM on the 15th floor of SIPA/IAB. Look out for more details on this one in a week or two.
