Nonprofit Support Center Internships

The Support Center for Nonprofit Management strengthens the leadership and management capacity of nonprofit and public interest organizations. We provide training, coaching and consulting to nonprofit organizations, foundations, and other public interest organizations.

The Support Center for Nonprofit Management, Inc. is dedicated to promoting excellence in nonprofit leadership and management through:

* Public Training Workshops
* Coaching
* Consulting Services and Technical Assistance
* Custom-Designed, On-Site Training Programs
* Executive Leadership Services and Transition Management
* Information Dissemination
* Building Strategic Alliances

Interns are needed in the following capacities:

1. Communications Intern

Intern will assist with communications and basic journalism projects. Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communications skills and must be computer literate (Word, Internet savvy) and familiar with or quick to learn Excel and other programs. Strong candidates should have some journalism and/or public relations experience.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of the nonprofit sector and network with professionals involved with public interest organizations.

Projects will include:
· Assist in researching and writing materials for publication and dissemination.
· Attend organizational events/meetings to take pictures and report on activities.
· Organize news section of website.
· Opportunities to pursue personal interests and areas of specialization.

Positions are currently available, and time commitment is flexible. This is a part-time position for approximately 3 days a week. We provide TransitChecks to cover transportation within NYC, a modest stipend, and the opportunity to attend our workshops for free.

2. Informational Research Intern

Interns will assist with marketing and informational research. Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communications skills and must be computer literate (Word, Internet savvy) and familiar with or quick to learn Excel and other programs.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of the nonprofit sector and network with professionals involved with public interest organizations.

Projects will include:
· Customer feedback – testimonials
· Data gathering of constituents
· Research clients, foundations, and grant-makers
· Opportunities to pursue personal interests and areas of specialization

Positions are currently available, and time commitment is flexible. This is a part-time position for approximately 3 days a week. We provide TransitChecks to cover transportation within NYC, a modest stipend, and the opportunity to attend our workshops for free.
